Aly and Seth shared their marriage vows on November 11 during a beautiful ceremony at The Westin Hotel in Annapolis, Maryland. Aly and Seth met in 2014 through Ok Cupid, and these two hit it off right away – and now, three years later, Aly and Seth are married!
I met Aly through my sister, Kelsey; Aly and Kelsey worked together and have been friends for years. I was so excited to meet Aly and Seth (and Aly’s sweet mom!) when these two started wedding planning in 2016, and I was so excited to celebrate their wedding this November! I loved seeing some familiar friends at Aly and Seth’s wedding too; it is always so fun to photograph a wedding when I am friends with some of the guests too!
Aly and Seth both started their day at the Westin Hotel in Annapolis, Maryland; they shared their first look at the beautiful fountain nearby, and then Justin drove the three of us around downtown Annapolis so we could take portraits at the State House, near thew historic homes, and at the water. We got so much variety! Aly and Seth’s wedding day was very chilly (very chilly!), and as the sun started to set, the temperature plummeted. You would NEVER guess how cold it was, but these two deserve a round of applause for braving this cold, cold weather. We jumped back in the car after each stop and blasted the heat, turned on the heated seats, and attempted to defrost between portraits. We ended our portraits by the water, and it was SO beautiful and SO worth it! These two could make even a very chilly day fun, and they had fun laughing together and sharing stories while we explored Annapolis. Aly has such a beautiful smile, and her joy is infectious; I think it is impossible not to smile around Aly! Plus these two are so sweet and kind; they are just nice people, and it is clear that they are loved by many.
Aly loves all things glam, and Aly and Seth’s wedding was no exception! This was a STUNNING wedding! The reception was nothing short of amazing; the flowers on each table were seriously spectacular, the sequin pink tablecloths glowed under the candles adorning each table, and Aly and Seth’s wedding cake featured two of the fanciest giraffes ever. Just wait until you see their beautiful decor! It was like a dream come true. And Aly and Seth’s reception wasn’t just stunning – it was so much fun! These two had a signature drink for guests to enjoy and the most fun wedding band! The band kept EVERYONE dancing (I couldn’t stop moving my feet; they were just so much fun – and such nice people too!). The band joined the dance floor for some songs, and they played a great variety. Aly and Seth’s wedding planner was also named Aly (and it was surprisingly less confusing than you might think!), and she made sure that Aly and Seth’s beautiful, glamorous vision came together and was even more beautiful than they expected. I loved seeing Aly and her mom’s reaction when they saw the reception site for the first time!
Aly’s maid of honor is a friend that she met through Seth; when Aly and Seth began dating, Aly started joining Seth for weekly trivia. Soon, Aly was just as much a part of the team, and now, three years later, the trivia team got to celebrate a wedding! Seth’s best man was his older brother, and Aly’s younger sister was a bridesmaid. They gave such sweet, heartfelt speeches, and then, after Aly’s parents gave a speech and the blessing was shared, the Hora began!
As a way to say thank you to her parents, Aly and Seth asked the band to play “Little Red Corvette” (in honor of the Corvette Aly’s dad has always wanted!). Aly’s parents took the dance floor to dance to “Little Red Corvette;” it was so sweet! And that love of cars is a common theme; when Aly first met Seth, she was thrilled that he is such a car enthusiast, because Aly’s father likes cars so much. Seth knows and loves cars the same way Aly loves giraffes! Aly incorporated giraffes throughout her day; she pinned a special giraffe figurine on her bouquet, and Aly and Seth’s cake featured a bride and a groom giraffe (just wait until you see this cute cake topper!). The bride even had pearls, just like Aly! I love how these two incorporated so many things that are special to them in their wedding day; it was such a beautiful wedding and so unique to Aly and Seth.
Aly and Seth celebrated their marriage with a two week honeymoon cruise – so fun! Aly and Seth, I have loved getting to know you two and Justin and I loved celebrating your wedding day! Congratulations!!

After we returned to the Westin and photographed family portraits, it was time to sign the Ketubah, and then these two headed to the ceremony.
