Brittany and Dan celebrated their marriage on a GORGEOUS November day at the beautiful Vineyards of Mary’s Meadow. I have been so excited for Brittany and Dan’s wedding; these two are so sweet and we have talked about their wedding ideas for the past year – and I could not wait to see it all come together! These two are so organized and had such an incredible vision. Just wait until you see their beautiful reception!!
On top of that, Brittany and Dan had the most spectacular wedding cake. It was AMAZING! These two are featured on an upcoming episode of Cake Hunters, which airs on the Cooking Channel. Although they discussed ideas for their cake, the final cake design was a complete and total surprise – and it was so amazing! These two incorporated so many special elements of their lives into their cake, such as special moments like adopting their two cats, Peanut and Lucy, going on their first date, and getting married. The cake rotated (it actually moved!) and had the cutest gold deer on top! My husband, Justin, who owns Last Avalon Films, was Brittany and Dan’s videographer, and he filmed guests reactions after tasting the delicious cake (I have to admit – Kelsey and I just had to try the cake – and it was SO, SO good!).
But their beautiful cake was not the only thing that was unique about Brittany and Dan’s wedding. There were so many special touches, starting with Brittany’s beautiful shoes, dress, and jewelry. Brittany’s details were GORGEOUS – just want until you see her incredible shoes!! Brittany got ready at her family’s home, which is where Brittany and Dan had their amazing engagement session. (If you haven’t seen this one you have to check it out – sparkles, a rustic couch, and champagne!!). After finishing up hair and makeup, we headed outside for some photos of Brittany and her bridesmaids in their matching robes and a champagne toast before it was time for the wedding dress :) We also got to do some family portraits right in Brittany’s parents’ yard, which is so special! Brittany’s parents live just minutes from the family church where Brittany and Dan shared their vows. After the ceremony, these two exited the church to cheers and wands with ribbons and bells, then they hopped into an adorable teal blue vintage truck and headed off for their reception!
Brittany was SO excited for the teal blue truck – and so was I! And wow – just want until you see the photos here!! These two and their wedding party were totally up for jumping into the back of this pickup truck for what turned out to be some of the most adorable wedding photos!! They are SO cute!! And the pictures of Brittany and Dan – just wait!! We had such gorgeous wintery light as the sun set, and these two are so, so natural in front of the camera. Plus, not only did we have the cutest vintage teal truck for portraits but Brittany and Dan also had a BEAUTIFUL vintage lounge outside of the lower level of Mary’s Meadow, complete with a love seat, a vintage chair, and a beautiful couch. Guests enjoyed the lounge area during cocktail hour and then once the reception began, the lower area of the barn was converted into a second bar area with a photo booth! Upstairs, after the sweet speeches from Brittany’s sister, Brooke, and Dan’s brother, and first dances with their parents, these two cut their beautiful cake and the dancing began! And what a fun night it was! The evening ended with a pretty sparkler exit and everyone sharing wishes of congratulations with the couple :)
Brittany and Dan, Kelsey and I absolutely loved getting to know you two this past year and we loved photographing your wedding!! You two are such a sweet couple, and I love how enthusiastic and excited you both were about every single detail of planning!! Brittany, you reminded me so much of myself when I was getting married a couple of years ago! :) Congratulations, Brittany and Dan! We adore you two and wish you many years of love and happiness!!
