Happy first birthday, Caius!
Caius turns one year old next week and yesterday we got to celebrate his upcoming first birthday with a fun cake smash!
Caius has five teeth, loves the song Baby Shark, and says “dada” and “mama” :) He is such an easygoing and sweet little boy and it was so fun to see him again. I met Caius and his parents, Bruny and Afeez, when Caius was just three months old! (You can see their beautiful Fall family portrait session in Howard County here.) It was so fun seeing him yesterday and seeing how much he has grown. He is already walking, too! Caius, Bruny, and Afeez are so sweet and it was so great to see everyone and to celebrate baby Caius.
Caius wore the cutest Nigerian and Indian outfits to celebrate his heritage. (I can’t get over how adorable he is in his outfits!). Then he switched to his cake smash birthday crown, bow tie, and suspenders and he got to try cake for the first time – and he dove right in! He ate lots of cake frostings and then enthusiastically fed some to his dad, too :) It was so fun to see Caius enjoy his cake, play with balloons, and dance to his favorite songs. Cake smashes are just so fun and joyful; I love these sessions so much. It is impossible to not smile the whole time – and Caius kept us all smiling and laughing throughout his whole session!
