Congratulations to Colleen and Adam on their marriage!
I am so excited to share Colleen and Adam’s beautiful wedding. Colleen and Adam were married at the Bayfront Club in Edgemere, MD on March 12, 2021.
Colleen and Adam met prior to the start of the stay at home orders last year, but once those went into effect, they realized that if they enjoyed being around each other every day, all day, that there was no reason to wait on starting the rest of their lives together!
Colleen and Adam began the day getting ready with family and friends at the Hilton Baltimore BWI hotel before heading over to the Bayfront Club for their wedding ceremony. Colleen and Adam are super organized and they planned all of their amazing wedding details so well. In fact, they even included their pups! Colleen and Adam have two adorable dogs, Jameson and Murphy, and they included them in their wedding day by naming the wedding shuttles for guests after their dogs! (I love when couples include their pets in their wedding day in some way!). Adam rode over to the venue on one of the shuttles with his groom force (his fun name for his groomsmen!) and then two members his groom force waited outside of the Bayfront Club with a big sign that said “Colleen, I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.” So sweet!! It was such a fun surprise when Colleen and her bridal party arrived.
When we first talked with Colleen and Adam, they said that they hoped to have their ceremony outdoors, but they understood if that wouldn’t be able to happen because of weather. March weather in Maryland can be so unpredictable! And even in the days leading up to Colleen and Adam’s wedding, the forecast showed rain, and the day of started off as cool and cloudy. But, miraculously, as the day went on, the skies turned bright and sunny and the temperature reached nearly 70 degrees! It was such an incredible day, and it was even more amazing that it was mid-March! Colleen and Adam had the most beautiful wedding day – and because of that perfect weather, they were able to have an amazing outdoor wedding ceremony on the water!
Colleen and Adam shared their first look at their wedding ceremony. It was so sweet! Adam teared up when he saw Colleen walking down the aisle. Their wedding ceremony was also so special because Colleen’s friend, Megan, officiated the ceremony. Colleen and Adam also wanted a very unique end to their wedding ceremony: they wanted the first kiss with their family and friends in the background! Megan helped Kelsey and I coordinate this and when it was time, Megan stepped out, Kelsey jumped in and photographed the first kiss, and then jumped out (and Colleen and Adam kissed a second time just so we could have both photos!). I LOVE the photo Kelsey got of Colleen and Adam sharing their first kiss as husband and wife with their family and friends cheering for them! It is SO cool!
After the beautiful wedding ceremony, we got to do pictures with the bridal party and groom force (I love Adam’s name for his groomsmen!), family portraits, and Colleen and Adam’s wedding portraits. The sun was setting so fast, but these two had the BEST light for their portraits. They are so, so beautiful! It couldn’t have been a more beautiful day and the backdrop of the bay and Sparrows Point was so stunning. Colleen and Adam’s happiness was so beautiful and they couldn’t stop smiling at one another – which made for the best photos! I loved how much joy these two felt and how happy their friends and family were for them! And just wait until you see their gorgeous photos!!
After portraits, it was time for the party to begin! After the wedding party was introduced and Colleen and Adam shared their first dance, Colleen’s father gave a heartfelt speech of congratulations to Colleen and Adam. After dinner, Colleen’s sister, Katie, shared a very funny speech and Adam’s best man, Rob, gave a speech, and then Colleen shared a dance with her father and Adam danced with his mother.
After some dancing, Colleen and Adam shared a traditional Persian ceremony officiated by Adam’s mom, Naime. It was so nice that these two could share these cultural traditions together and that their family and friends could learn more about them. After the Persian ceremony, Colleen and Adam cut their wedding cake, Colleen tossed her bouquet (that their wedding officiant, Megan, caught!), and the party kicked off! Colleen and Adam had my favorite wedding DJ, Jacob Jensen of District Remix, DJing their wedding, and as always, he did such an amazing job of selecting just the right music and blending songs to make the night so much fun and keep the party going. It was such a great night and lots of fun! There were lots of teachers in attendance, too, which I think makes for the best party! (OK, I might be biased since I am a teacher too!) The deck outside overlooking the moonlit water was so beautiful and because it was so nice outside, guests could relax indoors and out. Colleen and Adam even had a huge candy bar for guests to take home some treats at the end of the night! It was such a great night and everyone had so much fun.
Colleen and Adam, Kelsey and I are SO happy for you two!! It was such an honor to share your wedding day with you and we loved meeting your family and friends! You two are two of the sweetest people and your joy and happiness is contagious. We have loved getting to know you two and it was such a joy celebrating with you both. Congratulations on your marriage!! We are so happy for you two!!

I LOVE both of these photos so, so much!! Colleen’s dress is amazing and had so many beautiful lace details and it is incredible that you can see that detail so well even in this far-away shot on the left. It is so pretty!

We even got to step outside from some beautiful nighttime portraits! What a great way to end a wonderful day!
