Guess what today is? Today is Karen and Scott’s BEAUTIFUL engagement session on the blog!!
I am so excited to share Karen and Scott’s gorgeous engagement session. I have WAY too many favorites – these two are just so adorable!
These two actually met at a wedding (so sweet!). About two and a half years ago, they went to a mutual friend’s wedding and ended up sharing the very last dance of the night! Now, Karen and Scott are planning their beautiful wedding for this fall, and they can’t wait!
Karen and Scott wanted a garden-like setting near DC, and Brookside Gardens was the PERFECT fit. Not only was it a beautiful setting, but the night of their engagement session there was also a live concert at Brookside Gardens – so we were serenaded with beautiful music for their entire session! How often does that happen? It was so fun!
Karen and Scott are planning an AMAZING honeymoon to Kenya, where Scott has gone twice before on mission trips. (I am super jealous because we have very dear friends in Kenya – but Justin and I are so nervous about long flights!). It is going to be an incredible honeymoon and a great way to relax after the many months of wedding planning – and I am SO excited to see their pictures!
Karen and Scott are both photographers as well, and they had so many fun and creative photo ideas. And Brookside Gardens has SO many cool spaces; this was such a fun session!

Scott works for NASA, so when Karen spotted this rocket ship, we knew we had to get some photos with it!
I have a little secret… whenever I find these AWESOME ferns, I LOVE to take engagement ring photos with them! I just love all of the lines of the plant with the diamonds. So pretty!
How cool is that one on the right? This was a fountain at Brookside Gardens!
And then the sun came out for a gorgeous golden sunset – and we found just the right spot to see it!! What a perfect ending to a perfect engagement session!
