I am so excited that you have taken a few moments to stop by and learn more about me!

I fell in love with photography many years ago.  My parents were always avid photographers, and I developed a habit of capturing pictures everywhere the same way they did.  I can remember hikes where all four of us would pass our film camera around, taking pictures of different leaves, trees, and insects – and of course each other!  (Side note: my sister and I were typically in matching outfits during these photos.)  I always have had a camera with me, everywhere I went, and then in 2008, I got my first DSLR and everything changed.  I started to learn to use my camera – not just pressing the shutter button, but adjusting the shutter speed, the aperture, and the white balance.  I created my own style that I love, and I continually strive to photograph in a genuine and honest way.

In addition to both bachelor’s and master’s degrees, I have over 185 hours of formal college training in digital photography.  I utilize the top of the line photography equipment from Sony and I practice my art intensely.  I love photography, and I am a perfectionist at all that I do.  On top of that, I am friendly, funny, and outgoing, and I absolutely love meeting new people!  My goal is to capture you looking your most natural and at your happiest.  I strive for my photographs to best represent the subjects and showcase who they are as individuals; I aim to capture the emotions and energy that are reflected in those moments.  And the best part?  I LOVE being there to photograph those moments and emotions!

Want to know more about me?  I love a lot!  I adore the people who surround me in my life, and I am so fortunate for the great family, friends, and pets that I have.  I am extremely generous, giving, and caring, and I get great joy out of making others happy – whether that is through creating great photos for a couple to keep for a lifetime, fostering a homeless cat, or saying hello to a stranger.  Aside from my personal beliefs and values, I am a fun-loving, energetic, and enthusiastic person.  I find four leaf clovers all the time, I have been a vegetarian for many years, I {heart} the color pink (oh so much), I love painting my nails fun and bright colors, and I have been with the love of my life since I was 18!  We have two awesome dogs and a few cats (all from shelters or rescues!) who you will sometimes see featured on the blog (I try to restrain myself, but it is tough!).
