Siya + Matthew, a Summertime Engagement at the Shrine of St. Anthony

I am so excited to share Siya and Matthew’s beautiful engagement session! Siya and Matthew are getting married this fall and they can’t wait to celebrate with family and friends here in Maryland before they move to Georgia.

Siya and Matthew met more than three years ago before Siya began nursing school when both were out for a night with friends. These two have been long-distance for part of their relationship because of Matthew’s job and they are so excited to start their life together in Georgia soon! Just a few weeks ago, Matthew proposed with the most beautiful emerald cut diamond engagement ring (it is absolutely STUNNING!! Just wait until you see the pictures of it!!). Now, Siya and Matthew are planning their wedding!!

Siya, Matthew, and I met up at her mother’s house first for some photos with Siya’s family’s sweet dog, Marley. Then we all headed over to the Shrine of St. Anthony in Ellicott City for more photos – including with their two dogs!

I was so happy when Siya said she wanted to include her dogs in her engagement session. Siya and Matthew have two adorable and super-sweet dogs: Gus and Arlo. Siya and her family also have a beautiful Pit Bull, Boxer, and Lab mix named Marley. It was so nice including their dogs in photos and the dogs were such great models!! They posed for the camera so well and were so excited to enjoy lots of treats. At one point, Arlo got ahold of the treat bag, tore it out of Siya’s hand, and had a treat party while he and Gus gobbled up the treats that spilled! It was so cute. Marley, Gus, and Arlo are all rescue dogs; Siya and Matthew have such big hearts and are so kind and giving. They have helped with transporting rescued dogs and that is even how Siya met Arlo! These two love their dogs the way I love mine. It is so fun meeting people that adore their dogs so much!! :) Siya’s brother was so kind to come along and hang out with Gus and Arlo while they took a break from being in photos with Siya and Matthew. The dogs had a great time and they are ADORABLE!
