Justin + Rae – A Montgomery County Christmas Wedding

Brooke Tyson Photography

Justin and Rae celebrated their marriage just days before Christmas on a perfectly December day! It was a little overcast and not too cold and felt just perfect! I met Justin in graduate school at the University of Maryland College Park! I remember sitting on the old couches in the “Bullpen” where all the English grad students hung out before class. No matter how much we were worrying about the essays we were working on, Justin always helped everyone destress with his jokes and humourous stories! Justin met Rae a few years ago while in Massachusetts, where she lived at the time. The two dated long distance for about one year, and then Rae moved to Maryland at started working at College Park too! It was so fun getting to know Rae during the planning of Justin and Rae’s wedding! Rae and I talked about dress ideas, and then Rae chose this FANTASTIC red dress – it is so, so beautiful and just perfect for their Christmastime wedding!

Justin and Rae said their vows at the Montgomery County Courthouse with their family at their side, and then everyone headed to the Tower Oaks Lodge in Rockville for a celebratory dinner afterward (and of course portraits!). It was so wonderful being there for Justin and Rae’s wedding, and I am so, so happy for these two! Enjoy a few of my favorite portraits from Justin and Rae’s beautiful wedding day!

Yay for brides in red dresses! I had one too, earlier this year. Such a fun little pop of color to change it up! These are beautiful. Great work! <3
