I love having the opportunity to celebrate these incredibly special moments with couples, so I was so excited with Karen and Tim emailed me to schedule a maternity session. Kelsey and I photographed Karen and Tim’s beautiful Virginia wedding a few years ago, and now, these two are welcoming their baby girl next month!! In fact, their baby’s due date is just one day before my baby’s birthday (so cool!).
I loved how festive the pictures with Karen’s beautiful maroon dress and Tim’s matching shirt were. We found some holly trees and it coordinated so well! And then these two switched to pretty sky blue for the second half of photos. I loved their choices so much! Also, Karen and Tim get so much credit for braving this chilly weather. It doesn’t look like it in these photos, but it was VERY cold! Karen and Tim added coats and hand warmers between shots (and I had on boots, gloves, and my winter coat – plus a warm and cozy face mask!). They were such troopers about the chilly weather (but we were all just so glad it didn’t rain like had been predicted!). But it was totally worth it and I am so glad these two have these pictures to remember this special time.
