Shelly + Brian – Fells Point, Baltimore Wedding

Bride

bDSC02656bw

When I first met Shelly and Brian last October, I instantly felt like I had two new friends.  Shelly had just run the Baltimore half marathon the day before while Brian hung out with friends and had a few beers; my fiance ran that same race the day before while I ate an amazing breakfast at Miss Shirleys and drank mimosas!  The similarities didn’t end there; Shelly and I share the same birthday, we both have a cat named Abby, and we all have lots of Maryland pride!  The two of them are such sweet, loving people, and I couldn’t wait for their May wedding – and I know that the two of them couldn’t either!

When we met, Shelly and Brian told me that they really wanted their guests to get a feel for Maryland, since so many of them were coming from out of town.  The Baltimore, Maryland theme carried through in so many ways, from the beautiful waterside location in Fells Point facing the iconic Domino Sugar sign and their rings from Maryland jeweler Smyth Jewelers to the Baltimore skyline on their invitations and the Baltimore City neighborhoods that Shelly and Brian named each guest table after (complete with fun facts!).

Shelly and Brian are just good people, and their friends and family were a true reflection of the type of people these two are.  The bridesmaids and groomsmen were so funny, sweet, and friendly (oh, and they wore sunglasses for the shots!), and Shelly and Brian’s mothers were so kind.  I brought my sister with me to assist (she was AWESOME!) and she kept saying “they are so nice!!” about everyone involved in the wedding – and it is true – they are just such sweet people.  And most importantly, Shelly and Brian are two people that really, truly love one another.  After a long relationship, the two are finally married, and the joy they felt really could not be contained.  They are such genuine people, and they truly love each other.  I am so grateful to have been a part of the start of their wonderful marriage, and I look forward to seeing photos (and hopefully taking photos!) of their many more years together!

Love these beautiful detail shots Kelsey got!  Shelly’s ring is AMAZING!
Ok, how adorable is this flower girl?  She had a HUGE smile on her face as she walked down the aisle like a pro, gently tossing flower petals into the wind, before turning at the end of the aisle and rushing back to sit with her mother.  She was so cute and so positive!!  It is scary being a flower girl (I remember; when I was a flower girl many years ago, I was terrified!) but she aced it!
Awww, Brian!  Brian teared up as soon as he saw Shelly.  These two really love each other :)
They wanted family and friends to be in their first kiss!  I love how unique this is!
These are five awesome ladies!
Looking good, guys!
Love this!!  They are such a joyful group!!

Kelsey took this photo…
…while I shot this one!
Each table was unique, with a specific neighborhood name and a variety of herbs or flowers.
Party time!
Congratulations, Shelly and Brian!!
